2015 TOP 10 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN BLOGGING
It’s great to see how many young bloggers are starting to come through the ranks now, and they’re not too shabby either. I must admit I do enjoy seeing the success of the younger bloggers a little more than the veterans, purely because they are coming from the same place I did those 4 years ago.
However the more seasoned bloggers, give you the inspiration and the motivation to achieve not only what they have already, but possibly become even bigger and better than they are. That however is not an easy task!
Then there are the veteran bloggers the die-hard big boys (and girls) that just never seem to stop and never seem to drop their continuous stream of brilliantly written content. The blogging community is thriving as always and I think it may only be the start.

Global Internet Marketing - Is It Different Than Internet Marketing
It might be natural to think that internet marketing is actually the same thing as global internet marketing since you can access web content from all over the world. But if you've decided to market your products or services internationally, you will have to do it in a way that offers the best site and most appropriate message to your various audiences.
Among other things, this involves choosing the right language and interface for your users' locations while taking into account the multitude of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) factors for a global marketing campaign. As many of you are aware, the internet enables less expensive and efficient online international distribution options for media products and informational types of products. Software companies are the most obvious examples of those that can save by distributing their products online all over the world.
When it comes to SEO, one of the most important technical decisions you need to make before getting started with your global Internet marketing campaign is how to manage the many international domains. What you decide doesn't just potentially affect your rankings, but also how well you will be able to manage each of your sites and even how much you end up investing in this marketing endeavor.
There are two options when it comes to launching websites in different countries. First, you can host all of the different language variations on one site and separate the languages by subdomains or subdirectories. The second option is to create a separate site for each language you are targeting.
If you choose the first option, you will probably have greater centralized control when it comes to the site's management and better SEO because all of the links will be coming in to one singular domain. This method can also be more effective when it comes to suppressing the possibility of duplicate content in the search engines.
If you go with the second option, you will probably spend less. You can start with one site and then add others one by one if you feel it is feasible. Contrary to the first option, by having multiple sites, you will rank better in the country-specific search engines. Because using this method allows you to set up country specific hosting, you can target your SEO efforts to specific countries. It often makes sense to host your site in the country being targeted.
Another important concept to understand at the onset of your global internet marketing campaign is that you can't do your keyword research in English and just translate to your target markets' languages in order to be successful. You need to do extensive keyword research in the language of the market you are targeting.
The best case scenario would be to have a native speaker supervise or do the keyword research. The very least you should do is to use a foreign language/English dictionary that includes idiomatic expressions and is as local to the target market as possible.
Discover The Importance Of Internet Marketing Statistics
The Importance Of Internet Marketing Statistics
When you're promoting your business online, it's important that you carefully watch your internet marketing statistics. While marketing statistics can often refer more to industry statistics than your own personal marketing results, you're going to be most concerned with the statistics that apply only to you and your business for right now.
Your internet marketing statistics include everything from the number of pages views for each page of your website, to how many clicks a particular link in an email or advertisement bring you a new customer, to how many of those click-throughs actually purchase something or sign up for your mailing list so you can contact them later.
These statistics are vitally important, because they tell you if your plan is working or not. For instance, if your internet marketing statistics show that an advertisement you placed in a newsletter drew very few people to your site, and few if any of those signed up for your mailing list or purchased anything, you'll want to reconsider paying for advertising there again. It could be that your ad was ineffective, and it could be that it's just not a profitable place for you to advertise. Try an ad there similar to one you've used somewhere else with good results, and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then the market is probably just not right for your product or service. If the new ad gets a good response, then you'll know it's the first ad itself that didn't do well, not the market.
If you don't keep a good eye on your internet marketing statistics, then everything becomes guesswork. Since you're operating a business and not running a psychic phone line, the guesswork isn't a wise way to run an internet marketing campaign. Are you getting tons of website hits from a particular link, but few are following through and signing up for a list or buying? It's still possible that it's just simply not the market for you, or it could be you don't have very compelling content on your page designed to make people want to sign up for your list.
You've probably had your website search engine optimized for certain keywords pertaining to your business. Type them in to a few different search engines and see if your site is in the top 10 or so listings. If it's not on the front page of listings, most searchers won't see it at all because so few ever click as far as the second page of results, unless necessary. Page rank is one of the more important internet marketing statistics you can monitor, right along with link performance.
Another way to make your statistics work for you is by looking at page views referred from within your site. The customer is there, and begins looking at different pages. Which ones get the most hits that way? This is one of the internet marketing statistics that can help you see what searchers like the most about your website.
Internet Marketing For Small Business
When doing internet marketing for small business, you have to run an even tighter and more planned campaign than if you were doing it for a large business. The smaller the business, it seems, the more tightly the plan should be. Large companies have a much larger advertising budget, so even if their online marketing strategies aren't very successful, traditional advertising can make a huge difference for them.
But smaller businesses typically don't have thousands of dollars to spend on the more common forms of advertising. Online marketing often becomes the main thrust of the marketing campaign, so it's necessary that it's done very well.
An advantage that small businesses can have over large corporations when it comes to marketing online is that they're more likely to have a very focused niche. While large companies have niches, too, sometimes larger companies market a variety of products and services over a very broad customer base. Then marketing each individual niche has to be a separate campaign.
When internet marketing for small business, you'll probably only have to worry about one very specific niche. You'll know exactly what your customers are looking for, and can focus on filling that need with every aspect of your marketing plan, instead of having to spread the campaign over several different groups of consumers.
Internet marketing for small business, because of the smaller budgets, often doesn't involve heavy pay-per-click advertising. The cost involved with PPC ads can end up being quite high with not necessarily a very big return. If you have a specific budget set up for PPC marketing, then by all mean use it, but monitor the returns very carefully so you can abandon keywords that aren't working and focus on those that bring in the customers.
Search engine optimization is an excellent method of internet marketing for small business. There can be expense involved if you pay a marketing expert or an SEO service to handle this branch of your marketing efforts, but the money spent will probably be well worth it. This is also where many small businesses fail.
They don't make sure their content is optimized for the search engines, so it's very difficult for someone to find them unless they're searching on the company name. People search for what they want, though, not the company that might have what they're looking for. So internet marketing for small business should always include a plan to get your website higher in the search engine rankings on the best keywords for your company.
Part of the search engine efforts should involve getting other websites to link to yours. Search engines don't just take keywords into account, but they also pay attention to a website's popularity with other sites. The more sites that link to yours, the more valuable your information is according to most search engines. These methods of internet marketing for small business can get a small company's website ranked well ahead of a corporation's, all while spending much less money on advertising.
Secret Of Effective Internet Marketing
When you hear complaints from people who've tried going into business online and failed, chances are that it's not that their efforts were wrong, they just weren't practicing effective internet marketing. This is where many of the internet marketing center and programs you can purchase fail the average business person. They give an introduction to different ways you can promote your business online, but they only go that far and stop. They don't give in depth information about how to tweak these techniques to make them work for you, and what to do if they don't seem to be working.
There's only one true secret to effective internet marketing: Reevaluate often and change tactics when necessary. Most sources of information you'll find on internet marketing urge you to try many different models of promotion. Traditional ads, pay-per-click marketing, search engine optimization, joint ventures and a variety of other very good suggestions for ways to get your product or service out in front of those who would need or want it. So you're introduced to all these various ways of marketing. Then many people think that's all the information they need, so they jump in with both feet, blow their budget on pay-per-click advertising or some other expensive promotion. The reasoning is that the profits made from this promotion will replace the funds spent and even increase them for the next advertising campaign.
Unfortunately, it rarely works just this way. Very often a person will put these marketing techniques into effect all at once hoping for a large return, but instead very little happens and now there's little budget left to try again. While there's nothing wrong with advertising campaigns that cost, like pay-per-click marketing, this type of promotion isn't right for every business, despite what the expert might say. And it's hardly effective internet marketing to start out with pay-per-click spending.
Where most fail is that they don't carefully monitor the response of every type of marketing they have in place. Effective internet marketing isn't done once and forgotten, left to work behind the scenes to generate huge profit. It's an evolving process, one that takes regular adjustment and change to be truly successful. And you really can begin this process without spending very much money, and sometimes without spending anything at all.
Aim for the lower cost forms of marketing first. Article marketing, for instance, and filling a blog with fresh keyword optimized content to attract good search engine ranking effective internet marketing and a great start. Yes, you'll want to optimize your web content, even if you have pay someone to do it correctly.
But hold off on the expensive pay-per-click campaign until you see which keywords and which articles and blog post are referring you the most customers. Then put your money where your customers are, in essence, by creating a pay-per-click campaign based on results you've already seen with other methods. Effective internet marketing requires you to reevaluate all of this often, because your best keywords can change even from day to day.
Small Business Internet Marketing Techniques
Small business internet marketing isn't just advertising anymore. It used to consist of purchasing ads in various places, and then purchasing specific types of ads, when the internet exploded. Now the difference between advertising and marketing has become very clear. Advertising is something you do that's very passive.
Yes, you'll use specific language in any advertising space you purchase to try to entice people to click and buy, but once you've put the ad in place, it's there and it's not going to change. Even pay-per-click advertising falls into this more passive category.
But with many of the techniques of small business internet marketing, the things you do are far from passive. If you search engine optimize your website, that might seem passive because once you do it, it's done. But that's not true.
As you add new pages to your website, you do more tweaking and changing. You'll use new keywords and different keywords in different areas. Sure, if you use banner ads you'll change them from time to time, but it's still much more static that almost any other type of marketing you can do.
And unless you have a huge advertising budget, those static ads like banners and pay-per-clicks probably aren't going to garner you many sales. It's the dynamic methods of small business internet marketing that are going to bring people to your website and keep them coming back. And when they keep coming back, they're once again faced with the things you offer. It can take a person 6 or 7 times seeing an offer before they're inclined to buy, so the more you get them at your website, seeing your products and services, the more likely it is you'll make a paying customer out of them.
The most efficient, active method of small business internet marketing that's guaranteed to let you make frequent contact with your target market is an opt-in mailing list. You can offer some information, a discount, or an ongoing thing like a 5-day course in something relevant to your site to get people to sign up for the mailing list. Once they've done that, you have their permission to send emails that will contain links and sales language designed to get them to go to your website and buy.
You won't want to just start sending ads every day. Come up with something that the people who found your website were probably looking for. If your small business internet marketing plan makes it likely that people will come across your website when looking for ways to keep aphids off of houseplants, for instance, then offer a 3- 5- or 7- day email “course” about how take care of African violets or how to keep houseplants healthy in less than ideal conditions.
Give them something of value, and they'll give you permission to contact them. Once you have that permission, good small business internet marketing will include emails that contain not just ads, but content to remind them what a valuable resource your website is.
Success With Internet Marketing Promotion
Many business owners tend to overlook one of the best, free methods of internet marketing promotion available to them—writing articles. If you're shrugging and thinking that you're not a writer so you couldn't possibly promote yourself in that way, take heart. You don't have to be a writer. As long as you know your subject and can explain it in a reasonable way, you're capable of marketing yourself with articles.
Internet marketing promotion is the key to your online business' success, so you want to use every resource available to you. And articles are powerful little tools in getting your business in front of people who are interested in what you have to say. It's very easy to get started.
Think about article topics that relate to your business. What services do you offer, or what products do you sell? If you sell pet items, any article about any aspect of pet ownership is a possibility. If you sell voice recognition software, then an article about how disability affects computer use or how dictating a novel while doing other things with your hands can allow you to get more done might be a good choice. Anything relating to your main business focus is a good possibility.
You're going to get very specific with your internet marketing promotion very soon, but for right now take one or two topics you've come up with an actually write about them. You'll want to aim for an article of 400 to 450 words, depending on the minimum of the depository like EzineArticles.com that you're aiming it for. Just convey your knowledge on the subject, and write like you talk. After you've done a couple, it will get easier.
You want your internet marketing promotion to look as good as everyone else, so spell check your work and proofread it for errors. Add a brief author note at the bottom along with your link. Then submit the articles. Now that you've had a little practice, find an online keyword tool like the one Google offers for free, and think of some keywords that relate to your business.
If you own a gardening center, then “growing roses” or “when to mulch” might be possibilities. Use the tool to find popular keywords that don't have thousands of websites already catering to them.
The next step in your article internet marketing promotion is to pick a few keyword phrases and write articles based around those. Use the phrase in the title if possible, and 4 or 5 times throughout the article. This makes it more likely that when someone searches on that phrase, your article will show up high in the listings. Then when they read the article, they find your link at the bottom.
If you're truly intimidated by writing articles, you can always hire someone to do it for you at a reasonable rate. But it could become something you enjoy doing. Articles filled with good content can be a fun way to expand your internet marketing promotion efforts.
